About Us

Canatec-Eurasia LLP provides services and products related to sea-ice, icebergs, and cold marine environments. We provide consulting services involving analysis of environmental conditions affecting structures, offshore operations, and navigation. Canatec also organizes field support teams capable of delivering on-site ice monitoring and advice as well as shore-based ice forecasting & charting and training of field ice observers. Specialized ice and spill tracking systems are assembled and sold under licence for support operations in ice and harsh marine environments.

TRACKING SYSTEMS

Canatec assembles, under licence, a suite of ice and spill tracking systems designed for operation in sea-ice environments. GPS or Glonass positions can be determined every 30 minutes and data made available to user via Internet within one minute.

FIELD OPERATIONS

Canatec organizes teams of ice specialists to support the in-ice safety components of field ice operations. Depending on the nature of an operation, specialists can be assembled and managed to fulfill the following roles: On-board/on-site ice observation and advisory. On-site/shore-based ice forecasting. Shore-based satellite image acquisition planning, management, analysis, and product delivery. Field ice charting.

Canatec’s ICE Program is a software tool that contains and accesses over 40 years of worldwide ice chart data. Our Program allows the user to generate statistical output of sea-ice conditions at specified points and over user-defined regions.
